  • Do you have any photos or videos of your discos?

I do not take or display any material from the parties due to privacy. While I could have taken many over the last eighteen years I have chosen not to do so as many of my events involve families.

I do take pictures of my setup before the event starts, which I am very happy to supply. Please see an example of the lighting in the video below. I also have permission to show a small number of images from a recent event, seen under the video.

I have also included example mixes on my website.

  • How may I pay?

Please pay the deposit via the link on the prices page. The balance is due seven days before the date of the party. I reserve the right to withold the service until the payment is made.

  • What are your terms and conditions?

The booking will be confirmed in writing once the deposit has been made. Until this time, other bookings may be made. At this time, the deposit is from £40.

Should you wish to extend the performance times either on the night or beforehand, this is available at extra charge. Please see the packages page. This is assuming that it has been agreed with the venue.

For the disco to operate correctly, a space of 4m in length, 2m in depth, and 2.4m in height is required, along with a minimum of two 240v plug sockets. The disco can fit in smaller spaces but may not appear as advertised in any images.

*In the unlikely event of the Service Provider having to cancel due to injury or illness a good effort will be made to find a suitable replacement. If this isn't possible, any payments made will be returned including deposits. If either the Service Provider or Client has to cancel due to an act of god where the performance from the Service Provider becomes unfeasibly difficult or expensive the deposit will be retained. If the Client cancels within 7 days of the booked occasion or during the performance, the total fee will be liable.

Unless the performance you receive is considerably different compared with the service advertised, in accordance with trading standards, no part or full refunds will be made. This includes lack of attendance by guests, weather conditions and/or unreasonable expectations from the Client.

Shelter must be provided for outdoor events.

The disco will stop playing at the stated time in order to avoid any potential fines from the venue.

The Client may request to see documentation referring to the legality of the service being provided (Public Liability Insurance & Portable Appliance Testing).

A testimonial will be requested after the proposed date; however you will not be obliged to give one.

It is understood that if any equipment or persons are in threat of damage or injury, the performance must cease until the Client has resolved the threat and full payment is still required.

If children are unsupervised near the equipment and they are a danger to themselves or others due to playing near the speakers or booth the Service Provider will request that they are moved away from the equipment. If this fails, the Service Provider reserves the right to cease the disco. This is for health and safety reasons. Full payment will still need to be made.

The Service Provider will not allow any members of the party to use the equipment. If the property of the Service Provider is touched without permission the party will cease.

Drinks should not be placed on the DJ booth or the speakers. Any damage will need to be paid for by the Client.

The Service Provider and any assistants will conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout.

A playlist or guidelines concerning the preferred music will be requested in advance. If this is not provided by the Client, I will, as the Service Provider, provide my own playlist and play a limited number of requests within reason.

Following a deposit payment, the full balance is due at the start of the evening please. Late payments will be subject to a £25 fee.

All quotes are valid for 7 days only.

  • How long do you need to set up and dismantle?

In general, 1 hour is needed for setting up. Longer may be needed if the event is not on the ground floor. Please let me know if the venue would allow setting up 1 hour before the party starts. Alternatively, I am happy to call the venue.

For weddings, I would need 90 minutes to set up.

I need approximately 50 minutes to dismantle. For this reason, I will stop playing the music at the stated time in order to avoid any fines issued by the venue.

  • Do you offer smoke or haze?

In general, no, as almost all venues do not allow it. If this is required, and allowed by the venue, there is an additional charge of £30.

  • How are your prices set?

Apart from the usual deductions, the fee also includes travel, setting up and dismantling. Could I offer lower prices? It is hard to offer lower prices due to the costs involved such as:

    • Renewing equipment. All of my equipment is relatively new, including the mixer(s), DJ booth, booth cloth, bags, lights, cables, microphone and laptops.
    • Buying music. I buy high quality versions of music. I subscribe to multiple record pools, legally.
    • The time spent creating playlists.
    • Transport - fuel etc
    • Website hosting and advertising
    • PAT testing
    • Insurance
    • Business costs

I also bring spare equipment to parties.

Additional hours are charged at the corresponding rates shown on the packages page.

Bookings may be secured with a (from) £50 deposit, payable at least fourteen days in advance. Please note that the booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. Until that time, other bookings may be made.

Prices include parties within a 15 mile radius of Medway. Of course, I operate outside of this location but the prices above are a guideline. A small fee will be added to parties located more than 15 miles from Medway. This will not be a hidden charge; it will be included at the time of the quote.

  • What equipment do you use?

All of the equipment has been PAT tested and is made by respected manufacturers such as Pioneer, Roland, Denon, Sennheiser, Mackie, ADJ, Behringer, Alto, Gorilla, Pioneer, Chauvet, Rhino, Vestax and Apple. I also bring spare equipment.

  • How can I provide a playlist?

I will contact you well in advance to discuss your music tastes and preferences. I offer every genre of music, sourced legally and at a decent bitrate/quality. I would be happy to select your favourite tracks during a brief meeting, at your home or a public place. Alternatively, I could look at Spotify/Amazon/Apple playlists and ensure that I have all of the desired songs.

You may also copy and paste a playlist into an email message.

Medway Mobile Disco's new wedding setup. I used two moving heads for this lovely reception, The two end lights were programmed to rotate the colours. You may choose a static colour or a moving array.

The booth didn't actually look this bright but it just appears that way in the photo. The booth was a UV colour. The ceiling fairy lights were provided by the venue.

Medway Mobile Disco's typical setup. The wash light colours may be chosen by yourself. In this case I matched the pink to the centre's uplighting but I usually choose a UV option later in the evening.

Public Liability certificate & PAT certificate
